On the fourth day, we went by bus to the Black Sea coast. Once there, we visited the Botanical Garden and Queen Mary’s Palace in Balčik, overlooking the sea. Construction began in 1924, and the palace was completed in 1927. Additional parts, such as the botanical garden and chapels, were gradually extended until the complex was completely built in 1936. Unfortunately, the Queen only lived in it for a short time, as she passed away in 1937
After finishing this visit, we passed through the city of Varna, where we had lunch and had time to stroll around the city, the coastal area and visit the Cathedral.
